Green Land Coffee
Plantation
Green Land coffee estate (22°06’23” N, 96°30’43” E) is one of Myanmar’s largest Arabica coffee estates, lies on the road between Pyin Oo Lwin and Mogok town in Thetkan Village near the border of Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State.
U Sai Wan Maing, owner of Green Land coffee plantation, runs one of the largest Arabica plantations in the country, which has won multiple awards in Myanmar’s national quality competitions, and was named an Outstanding Coffee Grower by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2003.
- Acquired the land in 1998 and planted coffee in 1999,
- with over 600,000 coffee and shade trees grown on 400 acres

Green Land plants different types of Arabica coffee cultivars, such as SL-34, SL-28, Catigua, Yellow Bourbon, Red and Yellow Catuai, Geisha and Catimor are separately planted in different plots with different spacing.
Coffee plants are grown under the shade of Silver Oak and Macadamia trees and intercropping with Niger (sesame) and Bananas.

Green Land installed on-site processing facility with a full set of Pinhalense wet-mill such as washerseparator, Eco-super pulper, rotary screener and demucilager.
Dried On Concrete Patio
After washing, parchment is dried on a concrete patio and raised bed in the sun, turning hourly in the day and covering at night to prevent dew from reintroducing moisture.
